Cartus Celebrates Sixth Anniversary of On-Site Wellness Center
Cartus is celebrating the sixth anniversary of its on-site "Wellness Center," which has provided convenient
medical care for employees at the company's headquarters in Danbury, Connecticut since 2003. In the past year,
more than 4,600 patient visits have been recorded, saving $115,300 in employee co-pays.
The Cartus Wellness Center, staffed by Drew Morten, MPH, PA-C, a full-time physician assistant, is available
to all Cartus employees providing convenience and cost savings. "The center offers a full range of services for
the diagnosis and treatment of occupational and non-occupational illnesses and injuries, as well as preventive
health screenings, vaccinations, prescriptions, urgent care, and health counseling," explained Morten.
"Additionally, flu shots - a hot topic this year - and immunizations are provided, as are information
and counseling on coping with illness in the family."
Coordination of wellness programs is a key objective for the center. Employees have taken advantage of classes and
lunch-and-learn educational sessions with themes such as eldercare, nutrition and healthy eating, smoking
cessation, balancing work and life, stress management, breast cancer awareness, and dealing with children with ADHD.
