The main goal of the Cartus Supply Chain team is to make sure that our clients and their transferring employees work with the most qualified, trusted, and performance-focused suppliers. To do that, regionally based Cartus experts select and manage our extensive global network of third-party providers with a focus on ethics and risk management. This focus has always been critical, and as locations and regulations have expanded, so too has awareness. Respondents to a 2014 Cartus survey rated compliance among the top challenges of global relocation programs, up 12% from just two years ago.
Now, Cartus has implemented an industry-leading risk management program called Compliance 360® that reinforces our ongoing management practices. The system enables the Cartus supply chain to automate and document existing monitoring and reporting processes, which will further aid us in controlling the inherent risk factors associated with managing third-party vendors. The system tracks hundreds of data points and allows us a 360-degree view into our service providers’ accomplishments in the global compliance arena.
The benefits that Compliance 360 provides to Cartus and its clients include:
• A centralized approach to managing supplier information and risk assessment
• Comprehensive assessment of supply chain risk factors, including countries’ risk-ranking and profile assessments, such as annual compliance certification, background check practices, and PII/system compliance
• Easy-to-access dashboard and robust, automated reporting
• Prospective supplier data collection and reporting to facilitate bids for worldwide service
This management system is integrated with a new contract management tool, thereby bringing all of Cartus’ supplier information together under one cutting-edge platform.
Compliance 360® is a registered trademark of SAI Global, a publicly listed risk management, standards compliance, and information business that developed the Compliance 360 platform.
