Cartus Supply Chain Celebrates Innovation at 17th Annual GlobalNet Relocation Conference

Posted by Pat Dedonato: SVP, Supply Chain Management

It’s been 17 years since Cartus began holding our annual Global Network conference, and I find that I look forward to it more and more each year. It seems that with every conference, the energy and momentum continues to grow – and this year, with 400 attendees, including  several of our clients, from 170 companies and 40 countries, speaking 25 languages – that’s saying a lot!

Our theme this year was INNOVATE, not something that needs to be pushed on this group of high achievers, whose collaboration and forward-thinking always amazes me. Just watching the parade of flags, which has become a standard element of our conference, allows everyone in attendance to see the scope of our global coverage. Being able to provide a venue for all of these companies to come together, share ideas, challenges, best practices, and arrive at new solutions for our clients and their employees, was energizing for me and for all of the Cartus Global Supply Chain team.

And now, for the winners…

One of the most rewarding aspects of the conference is being able to recognize all of the incredible award winners for their achievements over the past year. I have never felt that we have had a stronger service team in place supporting our clients and customers. This year, the top honors – the Masters Cup for overall excellence, given in two categories, went to Intermark Relocation of Moscow, Russia, in the category of “All Things Home-Related”, and Castine Moving & Storage, of Athol, Massachusetts in the category of “All Things Moving.”

Also honored at the ceremony were winners of 160 of other awards, given for consistent exceptional service to Cartus’ customers, as well as those who invested in innovations that improved service. Award winners were named at the Platinum, Gold, and Silver levels in the categories of “Commitment to Excellence” and “Innovation.” Our awards ceremony included a chance for our attendees to sit back, relax, enjoy amazing entertainment and concluded with a networking celebration lasting well into the night.

In addition, we continued our annual Global Citizenship Awards to companies for their commitment to making an impact on the health, welfare, and safety of others, and/or for improving a community’s quality of life on a national or international basis. This year, three companies were recognized as 2017 Global Citizenship winners: Budd Van Lines of Somerset, New Jersey; CWS Corporate Housing of Austin, Texas; and Elite Moving Systems of London, United Kingdom. We were thrilled to make donations to the charitable funds of each of these companies.

I couldn’t be prouder of the committed members of our network. As Kevin Kelleher said, the culture of high service and collaboration we’ve created together is a bright beacon for the future, and a testament to our shared commitment. I’m already looking forward to next year’s event in Seattle!
