Relocation to Greece: Current Challenges and Impacts

With the continuing economic challenges in Greece resulting from the current debt crisis as well as the Greek government’s closure of banks this week, the situation in the country remains uncertain.

To minimize the impacts upon clients and assignees in the country, Cartus is following the situation in Greece closely.

We are proactively managing all expense payments to assignees in Greece to ensure any impacts of the bank closures are minimized.

Latest updates from our destination services providers in Greece indicate that currently the impact on home finding and area orientation is minimal and that they are operating business as usual.

While the situation remains fluid and subject to change, we would urge anyone with relocation concerns or challenges in Greece at this time to contact their Cartus representative.
