Linking Talent Management and Talent Mobility: Worldwide ERC Webinar Playback

Posted by: Crystal Abbey, Director, Strategic Business Solutions
Survey findings are indicating more than ever that talent-related components of global mobility are paramount to the overall success of assignments, yet there continues to be a breakdown in collaboration and proper planning with the various HR functions involved in global assignments.
I recently had the pleasure of co-presenting a Worldwide ERC® webinar, Talent Management: What's Changed for Relocation Managers - The Five-Year Trends in Relocation, with Holly Clontz, Manager, Global Talent Mobility Solutions, HR Operational Services, Ingersoll Rand. In the webinar, we looked at Cartus’ survey findings over the years and the trends they showed, and examined the current state of companies’ talent mobility strategies and how the various HR, business functions, and mobile employees each play a pivotal role. Holly shared some of her experiences surrounding talent and mobility management, some of the recent initiatives her organization has embarked on, and what it may mean for the future of their talent management program.
We also touched on the evolution of mobility programs and how they need to evolve to remain relevant, including the ongoing need for program flexibility to keep up with globalization and expanded employee demographics. We offered some practical solutions and insight into how to best to start the conversations with your colleagues about collaborating on talent and mobility for the betterment of your organization.
If you didn’t get a chance to attend our webinar, listen to a playback of the webinar or view the handout of our presentation. And for more information on talent management and other areas of relocation, and to read Cartus’ research studies, visit our Resource Hub on Cartus.com.
