What are the Top Destinations for Relocating U.S. Employees?

United States multinational corporations are most likely to relocate employees for job assignments to the United Kingdom, Canada, and China, according to a Cartus survey released this month. The Top 10 countries that U.S. employees are being transferred to, also mentioned in a story in Overseas Property Professional, include:
- United Kingdom
- Canada
- China
- India
- Singapore
- Germany
- Japan
- Netherlands
- Saudi Arabia
- Australia.
This top 10 list of relocation destinations reinforces data from Cartus’ 2015 Biggest Relocation Challenges survey that found North America, Europe and Greater China were the top three destinations that were most important to companies’ overall business goals.
This information follows survey information recently released in which Cartus asked several hundred relocation professionals “Which language do you think would be most difficult to learn?” The consensus was universal: respondents in all regions ranked Mandarin Chinese as the most difficult language to master (38%), followed by Japanese and Arabic (tied at 18%).
